The Latin Ballet of Virginia pays homage to extraordinary women in Spanish and Latin American history with their dance program “Mujeres”. The performance will feature stories of “La Llorona”, the Native princess from the Aztec empire, Frida Kahlo, the iconic Mexican artist and Evita Peron, a powerful and passionate woman from Argentina. A dramatic program that will immerse you in stories through music and dance.
The Latin Ballet of Virginia (LBV) was founded in 1997 in Richmond, Virginia under the direction of Ana Ines King, a native of Colombia. LBV is a professional dance company and school of dance, providing multicultural dance programs, instruction and performances for a diverse community. They are a member of the Virginia Commission for the Arts Performing Artists Touring Roster.
